Meet Andy Gray

I have a relentless passion for cultivating racial harmony and justice in our divided communities and fractured churches. I pastored a local congregation for 25 years, with the last 18 as a pastor of a multi-ethnic church plant. My biblically-rooted approach combined truth, compassion, understanding, and candor to disciple Jesus followers to truly live in harmony (Rom 12:16). Discipleship must impact our affections, consciences, and wills to be impactful. Doing justly and living in harmony requires the engagement of our hearts, heads, and hands.

Catalyst For Harmony is a multi-ethnic team devoted to accelerating discipleship in racial harmony and justice. We do training workshops, consulting and lead multi-day trips through the South where we learn, see, and feel the Civil Rights Movement's history. Over 70 pastors from the Twin Cities have journeyed together, resulting in greater racial solidarity.

My persevering hope is to serve as a catalyst to build bridges of unity and justice.

If you are looking for biblically-centered and culturally relevant discipleship resources, and mentors, to help equip and empower you to engage in discipling around racial harmony, I would definitely urge you to connect with Catalyst for Harmony. Andy Gray and his team are leaders with integrity and influence whose ministry is already having a significant impact on the Twin Cities and beyond. His leadership in facilitating several Sankofa: Journey to Harmony tours of the major Civil Rights sites in the South helped build significant relational connections between African-American and White pastors and ministry leaders. Those connections were essential when Andy helped catalyze the One Fund initiative to help provide nearly $1,000,000 in support for African American churches who had been disproportionately affected by the pandemic and then social unrest here in the Twin Cities after the death of George Floyd.

Most indubitably, without hesitation, I would give Andy Gray and his team Catalyst for Harmony the highest recommendation that we can offer! Andy is a leader and trailblazer when it comes to having the courage to stand for and with the community. Coaching, training, equipping, enabling, and most of all, empowering the how-to when it comes to strategies with social injustice. Andy is a prognosticator, pontificator, and the spiritual equalizer of justice and mercy. To this end, I urge you to experience the coaching, as it will bless you and be an asset to your life. Lastly, I encourage you to invite him as a panelist at your church or next program.

Director of Diversity Equity & Inclusion - TreeHouse
Andy has helped our organization with coaching, training, and consulting towards racial harmony. Many of the challenges we've faced with racial harmony were often because of a lack of foundation on what God's Word provides, of a lack of proximity to one another's pain and a lack of common vision. Andy's approach is rooted in scripture, pursues holistic spiritual maturity, and is contextualized to empower our staff to wrestle with and take action on relevant issues today. His trainings focused on the serious commands from scripture for oneness, justice and harmony. Andy is a great listener and meets people where they are in their journey. He invites and challenges others to move toward this calling. As a coach and consultant, He has years of experience to apply a plan or step that is right for you and your ministry. Through engaging training, coaching and dialogue, our staff have been able to work out their faith and pursue God's desire for racial harmony together.
