Meet Tremayne Manson

I was able to facilitate several 9 week cohort-style sessions in cultural competence and racial awareness for staff members and congregants for a predominantly white megachurch in the South. I was also able to produce a 5-year strategic plan for this church to grow in multi-ethnicity. I have also co-facilitated anti-racism trainings for a number of churches in the Northeast. Beyond this, I have worked one-on-one with several people to encourage their individual growth in understanding racial justice, which included organizing trips to historic sites related to Civil Rights and museums/monuments dedicated to preserving the histories of people of color in America.

Tremayne led several panel discussions, book discussions, leader trainings and surveys for our church. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful and a tremendous resource. Tremayne believes deeply in what he is teaching and it comes across in his care and patience with everyone he interacts with.

I met Tremayne several years ago at church. He spoke during a weekend sermon about race/justice in the church and I reached out to him afterward to chat. Tremayne has been instrumental in opening my eyes to the realities of race and justice in our country, and more specifically the role it plays in churches. We started meeting regularly to talk about these things and it developed into a friendship. While our relationship was never a formal "coaching" I believe he would thrive in this role.

My wife and I had the blessing of participating in one of Tremayne's Multiethnic Conversations cohorts as a part of his leadership efforts in multiethnic ministry efforts at our church. Tremayne's facilitation had a tremendous impact on our lives. He is a gifted, humble leader who is content to minister in the shadows, and yet also a brilliant strategist, who understands the value of the slow, steady work of discipleship + spiritual formation as the highest/best way to catalyze kingdom impact.
