About Justin Adour

I have led racial justice, cross-cultural competency, and community engagement initiatives within local churches and community-based organizations. Additionally, I have served in and advocated for historically marginalized communities for the last 15+ years. As a church planter, I developed and implemented strategies as well as trained leaders for our church plant. Furthermore, as part of my doctoral research and dissertation, I created a pathway for developing justice-orientated churches. This also included working with other churches seeking to learn and grow in that area.

Services

  • Initial Session to Discuss Personal Assessment Full Report ($200): Over the course of 1.5 hours, we will meet virtually to go over your full report from the Personal Assessment. We will discuss observations from your results and potential next steps for growth.

  • Ongoing Coaching Sessions ($150 per hour): Based on the assessment and established goals, we can determine an estimated number of coaching sessions needed to reach those goals. If not local to New York City, these coaching sessions will be virtual. If local to NYC, we can arrange in-person coaching or remain virtual.

  • Non-local In-Person Coaching: If not local to NYC, but desire in-person coaching in a more concentrated form over the course of 1-2 days, I am also willing to travel to do so. Please contact me for availability and a quote.

  • Group Coaching: Over the course of 1 hour, we will meet with up to 3 other individuals to review your Personal Assessment Reports. Please note that since this is a group session, we will not be able to go as deeply as a one-on-one session.

Justin brings considerable experience doing justice-oriented, cross-cultural work in marginalized communities. He spent a decade doing youth ministry in the South Bronx. He planted a church called Redeemer East Harlem in the fall of 2019 where he has led a new congregation to do great, gospel-centered, justice-oriented ministry in East Harlem. He has forged effective partnerships with local ministries working with the formerly incarcerated, women facing unexpected pregnancies, and many others.

I served Justin as a church planting coach during the early days of his church. I've had a front row seat in watching their church plant take shape with biblical justice as a core value. I had the privilege of reading Justin's Dmin project that was focused on helping church plants to have justice in their foundation as a church both as a doctrinal foundation and a lived experience. His speaking/writing gifts and direct experience in this subject greatly qualify him to coach and guide others.

One initiative is engaging the community more intentionally. From helping small businesses in the neighborhood and partnering with local organizations to organizing prayer marches, Justin's coaching and leadership helped to grow my own experience and leadership ability in these issues. He also helped me to develop a curriculum to increase awareness and engagement in my church. These materials have been critical in my own ability to lean into these issues.
