I have more than a decade of experience working with a wide variety of organizations in the realm of racial dynamics. My bachelor's and master's degrees in music allowed me to focus some of my studies on the role of race in the Western classical tradition. Additionally, I received training via internships in community organizing, artist fellowships, electoral politics, and under Black church and community organizing leadership. In working at a number of non-profit organizations and cultural institutions, I have been able to apply my skills to help address racial injustice in a plurality of contexts. These include universities, museums, radio, churches, missions agencies, and more. Since becoming a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) in 2019, I have trained and consulted over 100 organizations and hundreds of individuals as they seek to grow in cultural intelligence. My work continues to focus specifically on reparations, racial equity in professional and interpersonal contexts, and community organizing for racial justice.
