Tyler Burns is a pastor, organizational leader and thoughtful practitioner who can communicate powerfully at the intersection of faith and justice. He has facilitated training with Chasing Justice on Cultural Intelligence and BIPOC Collaboration. Tyler serves on our advisory board giving leadership to initiatives that strengthen the faith formation and practice of justice in the lives of young adults who are looking for a better and more integrated way forward. His cross-cultural experience and practical allyship have created a wealth of knowledge to address complex situations that face Christian communities today.

Tyler Burns and I have been the co-hosts of the Pass The Mic podcast for over 10 years. In that capacity, Tyler has used his skills as both a pastor and racial justice advocate to help tens of thousands of our listeners maintain faith in God and move toward a more equitable tomorrow. Tyler led the conversation on our episode, "Black Christians, Don't Negotiate Your Dignity." He reminded people that they do not have to compromise the respect they are due just to fit into white Christian spaces. His voice was integral in our #LeaveLoud campaign which helped people embrace their stories and speak about their experiences of racial trauma in the church. He has led The Witness, a Black Christian Collective since I left in 2021. Tyler has helped plan and lead two Joy and Justice national conferences.
